The threads in the warp direction are alternately raised or lowered according to the desired pattern. This weave allows to have a solid, resistant, relatively thin and homogeneous fabric. It is often used in technical textiles for its strength and ease of implementation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class='rounded-box is-blue has-image'><figure class=\"content-image is-contain has-no-bgc\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.textile-technique.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/formation-en-armure-serge-schema.jpg\" alt=\"formation-en-armure-serg\u00e9-schema\"><\/figure><div class='content-text'><h3 class='title framed-title--blue'>Twill<\/h3><p><strong>This weave allows the formation of cords (line effect) formed in diagonals. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It also allows to obtain a resistant material. It is mainly used in the manufacture of jeans and work clothes.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class='rounded-box is-blue has-image'><figure class=\"content-image is-contain has-no-bgc\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.textile-technique.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/formation-en-armure-satin-schema.jpg\" alt=\"formation-en-armure-satin-schema\"><\/figure><div class='content-text'><h2 class='title framed-title--blue'>Satin<\/h2><p><strong>This weave has the particularity to have few taken yarns, which leaves important lengths of left, so, we see appearing floats. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This weave is mainly used in clothing for its very shiny and soft effect, as in the case of silk, but also in technical textiles for anti-cutting applications.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\t<\/div>\n\t\n \n\n\n\n<div class=\"gut-block gut-block--title-separator size-medium\">\t\n\t<div class=\"separator-icon--blue\"><\/div>\n\t<h2 class='title title-3'>Other weaving methods<\/h2>\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\t<div class=\"gut-block gut-block--rounded-box is-simple\">\n\t\t<div class='rounded-box is-blue has-image image-on-left'><figure class=\"content-image is-cover\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.textile-technique.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Jacquard-dibon001-PX-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Jacquard (dibon001) PX\"><\/figure><div class='content-text'><h3 class='title framed-title--blue'>Jacquard<\/h3><p>Is set up on looms called jacquard, they have the particularity of having independent threads of chains. This type of loom allows total freedom in terms of patterns. Nevertheless, the number of colors is limited and depends on the machines.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\t<\/div>\n\n \n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:8px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\t<div class=\"gut-block gut-block--rounded-box is-simple\">\n\t\t<div class='rounded-box is-blue has-image image-on-left'><figure class=\"content-image is-contain has-no-bgc\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.textile-technique.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Interlock-tissu-schema-2.jpg\" alt=\"Interlock--tissu-schema\"><\/figure><div class='content-text'><h3 class='title framed-title--blue'>Interlock<\/h3><p>Mainly in technical textiles, we also find 3D interlock woven structures, this weaving technique allows to obtain multi-layer fabrics. They are particularly effective in resisting high speed projectiles (e.g. explosive devices), they allow to distribute and absorb the shock caused by the impact.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\t<\/div>\n\n \n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:23px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\t<div class=\"gut-block gut-block--rounded-box is-simple\">\n\t\t<div class='rounded-box is-orange'><div class='content-text'><h2 class='title framed-title--orange'>Types of fibers used<\/h2><p>Weaving can use all types of yarns, from all origins. It is easier to weave natural fibers because they are less smooth and therefore slip less.<\/p>\n<h2 class='title framed-title--orange'>Characteristics <\/h2><p>Resistant, dimensionally stable, durable.
